Watch: Hardik Pandya spotted refusing Lasith Malinga’s hug after Mumbai Indians’ defeat | Cricket News

Hardik Pandya‘s tough time as the new Mumbai Indians‘ (MI) skipper continued with a second consecutive defeat, but besides the team’s performance, it’s Hardik’s moves on and around the field that are being closely watched by fans, who have been trolling the allrounder mercilessly.

In another such incident following MI’s 31-run loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad, a video of Hardik allegedly shoving bowling coach Lasith Malinga away has gone viral and made the MI captain face fresh criticism.

Malinga was trying to hug Hardik but the skipper seemed to be ignoring it and was eager to walk away.

Ahead of IPL 2024, MI decided to pass the captaincy baton from their five-time title-winning skipper Rohit Sharma to Hardik, who was traded in from Gujarat Titans. Since that announcement, life hasn’t been easy for Hardik, including being booed by the crowd.
MI lost their opening match to Gujarat, followed by a defeat against Hyderabad.

Pollard was about to get up for Hardik, but Malinga made the move and then walked away.
